Researcher and broadcaster, Dr Stephanie Hare delivered an insightful and engaging talk on the ethics of data and new technology at CIPR's 2019 National Conference. Dr Hare discussed big data, artificial intelligence, facial recognition, 5G, and the Internet of Things. She argued the technology we use today is designed with bias and that data regulation needs to be less reactive - "the way we are treating data is not working".
